Kickstarter Launched to Support “An Invisible Piece of This World”

In News,Playwrights,Projects,Theater by adminAENY / March 24, 2016 / 0 Comments

For Main Stage 2016, AENY-Spanish Artists in New York, in conjunction with IATI Theater, has chosen to stage An Invisible Piece of this World, a timely exploration of the varied journeys of immigrants. Spanish actor and playwright Juan Diego Botto’s award-winning play toured Spain to audience and critical acclaim in 2012, and now AENY intends to bring these passionate monologues to the New York stage.

In this current political climate, we believe there is no better time to tackle the hot-button issue of immigration from the perspectives of those who have actually experienced the loneliness, loss, and resolve. New York City is the ultimate place to work through these experiences of immigration, and as immigrants ourselves we feel that these stories, in this location and at this time, will truly resonate for audiences and spark discussion.

The AENY team is thrilled to interpret Juan Diego Botto’s work and link respected local NYC talent with the Spanish arts community, but we cannot put our best foot forward without your support. Learn more about our mission, team, and An Invisible Piece of this World on Kickstarter.
