Javier Moreno



Double bassist and composer originally from Madrid.  During the last years, in addition to his native city, he has resided in Paris, Buenos Aires,Rome,  and New York where he has been dedicated to an intensive agenda to the contemporary creation: jazz, flamenco,  and creative music in addition to other disciplines such as theater, dance, and the visual arts.

He played with artists such as: Tim Berne,  Dino Saluzzi, Tony Malaby, Gerald Cleaver, George Garzone, Craig Taborn, Carmen Linares, “, Javier Ruibal or Dorantes. Performing at Festivals and venues like: : Sunset Sunside in Paris, the San Sebastián Festival (Spain), the Spoletto Jazz Festival (USA), etc..In addition to cutting four records (two with the Fresh Sound New Talent label), he has worked as musical director, double bassist and composer in the multidisciplinary piece ¨Wearing Lorcá´s Bowtie¨ which premiered in Broadway (NY) in 2011.

His las creation is called a “Air and concert for nomads” , and it was released  at Tempietto de Bramante in Rome. This a cinematic, musical and poetic concert that travels through New York, Rome, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Buenos Aires, for those seeking permanently, never having the feeling of forever.
