Luz Nicolas



Born in Madrid (Spain), February 1, 1973, Luz Nicolas is an actress whose work encompasses musical theater, classical theater, television and film.  She has performed in her native country for 20 years. Though she began her career singing and dancing in musical theater plays such as “Grease“, “Hello Dolly” and the Spanish production of “The Coming Flood“, she ultimately shifted her focus to classical theater. She played the character of Nerissa in Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice” and in Benavente’s “The Bonds of Interest” she portrayed Columbina.  Among other performances, Luz has appeared in two well-known plays from Lorca: as Martirio in “The House of Bernarda Alba” and as one of the spinsters in “Doña Rosita the Spinster”.  In Spain, Luz has-been cast in several made-for-television series: such as “Cuentame“, “Policias“, “La Pecera de Eva” and “Aqui no Hay Quien Viva“.  Her plan is to perform as a freelance actor “wherever they want me”.
